Diversity at Mason is an annual publication of the Diversity Research Group. First in the series was a volume of George Mason student papers on the topic of diversity, organized by anthropology professor David Haines. That volume, Diversity at Mason: Student Reflections, appeared in Summer 2006.

The second effort, Valuing Written Accents: Non-native StudentsTalk about Identity, Academic Writing ,and Meeting Teachers Expectations, by a Writing Center research team comprised of  Terry Myers Zawacki, Director of the Writing Center, Anna Habib, Assistant Director, Eiman Hajabbasi and Alokparna Das, ESL specialists, and Alex Antram, anthropology student and writing tutor, appeared in Summer 2007.  Drawing on interviews with Mason students and faculty, this work explores how non-native students learn to think and write American English in the American university.

The third issue in the series, scheduled for publication in Summer 2008, will focus on the reflections of Mason staff, faculty, and students who have participated in the Fulbright international educational exchange program
